Day 42(17th Jan 2016 ) Sunday. Getting up this morning was hard. I was back to waking up to the sound of an alarm and for some reason this just makes getting up all that more difficult.
Church stated at 10am and will we left home at 10:10 but luckily when we arrive we soon realised that we were still early. This church service in Westville that I am attending is in the same place and with most of the same people from when I left South Africa. Although I know I may look slightly different as I am older now it is just the weirdest feeling knowing someone who doesn't seem to know you. Looking around the hall so many faces are familiar to me but all I'm greeted with is blank faces trying to figure out who I am. Lunch is a braai (bbq) with traditional boerewors (Afrikaans for “farmer’s sausage”) that are seriously the best sausages ever.
It is now hours later and we have just come back from a night out at a cocktail bar which overlooks the beach as it is held above water on a pier. The scenery is just gorgeous as we spend all night overlooking the surfers catch their last waves before sunset. It is a unique feature that all the girls who come to this place have to get the side of their face painted with stick painting technique in white. The night is over and I’m ready for bed. Night
