+ Travel in a world of adventures
Read my full day to day blog of my first big overseas solo trip.
Day 14 (20th Dec) Started the day off with breakfast on the porch looking over the cutest little garden that grandpa spends an hour watering each morning. Granny and I spent the next hour talking about beauty and the products she has used over the years as I put my face on. We chill in the lounge for a bit and then granny jumps up to grab a pair of square gold earrings that she simply hands over. I am so grateful, she says she doesn't wear them any more so they are given to me. The best gifts are always ones that mean the most and have been handed down.
We drove over to my cousin’s place to have afternoon tea. Later in the afternoon we went out to the mall to get a last minute gift for her boyfriend and a couple of things for ourselves. Turns out after looking for some new sandals I have to take a kids size shoe here. Who knew my feet were so small! It ended up not such a successful shopping trip. The machine at the printing shops where we were making a calendar for Robbie’s parents for Christmas broke down twice just before we were about to finish. We were told to come back tomorrow. We are now exhausted and ready to have dinner and hit the hay .
We come home to an amazing smell streaming from the kitchen. It was lasagne for supper. My favourite. Yum.
