+ Travel in a world of adventures
Read my full day to day blog of my first big overseas solo trip.
Day67 (11th Feb) Woke up to dogs barking, a baby crying, music playing, an icecream truck music going past, a full on cat fight happening outside my window and let me not forget the rooster still crowing! Had a nutritious breakfast of cornflakes before the girls suggest we go out to Blooms, which is a cupcake café, as tomorrow a full day of classes start. I got a chocolate hazelnut cupcake that had a massive red poppy flower on the top to make me want to eat it even more. The cute cafe led to me thinking it wouldn't be a bad idea for me to start a cafe here in Cambodia.
Returned back to the house to have lunch which was left over green curry that was amazing. My new favourite.
Verity and I took my first class today starting just after lunch. The students were so good and eager to learn and willing to be corrected. 2nd class was right after the first which had more advanced students who could already speak basic English. This lesson was held on the deck upstairs which we now agree was not such a good idea competing with the humidity. 3rd class was a one in one lesson with Lalune where she would read out loud to me and if she got stuck or didn't understand something I would help or if her pronunciation was not correct I would help her but I was mainly there to be her second ears.
Dinner and then bed.
