Day 28 ( 3rd Jan 2016 ) 6:30am wake up and it’s my first day waking up at the farm.
Last night the boys said they wanted to go fishing and said they wanted me to go with. So here we are now all driving to the first lake which is at the next door neighbours place where there looks to be absolutely no fish in the pond. Try to fish but have no luck. The dog however followed us to the dam and is been wadding in and out and the jumps in the car sopping wet. We drive to the next lake and the fish are biting like crazy; they put the fish they catch into a bucket filled with water and we bring them back to release them into their dam.
We get back have a shower to get rid of the dam smell and then me and Gran and Sharon head off to the nearest game park which was said to be a 15 min drive turns out it was more like a 1hr40 drive to get there. It was one long drive with sitting in the back seat of grans car which feels like it could break down and fall to pieces any second and to top it off there was no air con and it was 36 degrees plus the back seat window did not open. But with saying that, we arrived at the game park to straight away see some game - buck, giraffe, zebra and buffalo. We stop at this gorgeous lake at the base of the game park to have a picnic with my family's friends. After hours of sitting still and being captured by the view around us we decide it is time to head back down the dirt road and back through the game reserve. It has been a scorching hot day but a good day spent with the family. Hope there is more to come.
