+ Travel in a world of adventures
Read my full day to day blog of my first big overseas solo trip.
Time truly does fly when you’re having fun !
Now lying in bed in Durban south Africa I cannot wrap my head around the fact that I left New Zealand and my day-to-day life back in little Ohope one week ago !
This morning I woke to the squawking of Hadidas, a brown/blue Ibis bird, outside my window at 6am. I don’t think I could ever get used to that sound. It is like something is chipping away at my patience for a good hour before I reluctantly got up and ready for my first full day back in my old home city.
First things first. The boys and I headed out to go ice-skating 🙌 I had not been ice-skating for years !!
Let’s just say the amount of bruises I have on my body shows how good I am at ice-skating.
I then headed over to the baby house which is a home that raises orphaned children, most of whom are abandoned by their mothers and family. It is so heart breaking to know what these little babies have been through, not that you would know now with their bright smiles and giggles. I just wanted to take them all home.
More baby cuddles tomorrow.
