+ Travel in a world of adventures
Read my full day to day blog of my first big overseas solo trip.
Day 16 (22nd Dec 2015: )Went for a drive to the game park and horses and market. Stayed at gran’s house. Today we decide it’s time for an adventure. Robbie and Debbie, my aunt, and I head out in the car to see a market out at a camping site near Arena River Side resort. My aunty kindly bought me a cute beach necklace from a stall that was selling shell rings and necklaces.
Next stop was Inkwenkwezi, a wild game park, see a few wild animals that are native to South Africa, on the way there through the veld and bush we came across a giraffe that was chilling on the side of the road. Then when arriving at Inkwenkwezi we were going to have lunch but it was a public holiday so unfortunately the restaurant was not open but they said that if we were quick we might see some elephants just off the deck, so we quickly scurried around the restaurant to the deck and there they were. It was so incredible to see them in real life. I have seen elephants before but years ago so I had forgot just how spectacular those enormous creatures are. We stood there for a decent time taking a quick few snap shots and just in awe of their kind. After watching the elephants we thanked the workers at the game park and head off to find lunch as by now we were on the edge of starving. We passed some deer and buck and decided to give their horse a visit.
We arrived at Lavender Blue to find something for lunch. I then was dropped off at my gran and grandpas cottage to spend the night.
