+ Travel in a world of adventures

Day 56 (31st Jan ) Today we have all decided to go down to the river and catch a tail boat which I have now found out is called a Long Boat ride. On the way out of the hotel walking to the bus stop we see Parie and Kevin who were on my last tour and ask if they would like to join. They do so and we catch the bus and arrive at the dock. I’m so happy I get to see Parie again as we got quite close on the last tour and wish we got to go down south on the same tour. All the long boats are all lined up in a row at the dock looks so colourful with ribbons and flowers draped over the front of the boats.
The boat travels through a canal where there are water homes on both sides of the water, some look as though if you just touched them they could fall apart. All the homes have their washing hanging out over their deck. The boat stops in a spot where there are thousands of massive fish that are like eels. A guy on the side of the river gives us a loaf of bread to feed them and watch them jump up out of the water to get it. Sadly once the long boat ride comes to an end I have to say goodbye to Parie as she is going on a different tour down south to Malaysia for the next week but I will hopefully be able to see her for an hour or two when her next tour comes through Cambodia.
We catch a bus to an area where we had drinks the other night, it is very touristy but has some really good street food. I order a fruit shake for a late lunch which is just amazing. I come back to chill and get some takeaway dinner from a restaurant for the train. The train is another overnight. I was expecting this one to be bad as Sunny said it was worse than the north trains but it’s fine and I love the fact I actually get a bed not just a seat to sit for 12 hrs. The time goes fast because you are sleeping so before long its morning. xx Kirsty Claire xx
