+ Travel in a world of adventures
Read my full day to day blog of my first big overseas solo trip.
Day 69 (13th Feb ) Sisters class in the morning (big lesson that was not one on one )for the older generation. We made cupcakes and then decorated them with different flowers and toppings.
Rosie and I went on a moto to city market in town and Luluen and Nadia went on the another and met us there. There were just rows and rows and rows of stalls pack to the brim with the items they were selling. But I love markets even though I am not a crowd person. There is something about a markets vibe that puts you in a good mood. I think I might become a shopperholic while I’m here, I just want to buy everything ! But it won’t fit in my bag. It will make my bag heavy. Plus I don't actually NEED it.
Rosie and I went over to the dorm to teach and help two girls. Most of the students are from the dorm which is funded by another organisation so that teens and school girls and boys can come from the provinces, where their home towns are out in the little towns, to the city to get an education. Straight afterwards, at the dorm, we held seminar / English talk on relationships and then split into two groups, girls and boys in different rooms, to allow them to ask questions. The talk was to show that it’s alright to be single, you don't always have to be in a relationship to enjoy life.
All the dorm girls and boys came out afterwards to play Soccer with us. Girls on one field versing each other, teachers against students. And the boys played on another field. It worked a lot better this way - with girls vs girls as we could actually get a chance to have a nice game and kick the ball.
Went back to the house with Rosie on the moto and on the way got some street food - fried rice, we lost our way for a bit but eventually found our way back.
