+ Travel in a world of adventures
Read my full day to day blog of my first big overseas solo trip.
Day 35th (10th Jan 2016) Waking up and it’s been raining all night. It is still drizzling but not too bad. I have a shower and then Sharon decides she wants some driftwood so we walk down to the beach, find the log she is after and start to pull. It is not budging. After a good 20 mins of sawing the piece of wood of we are able to pull it out the ground. I came back exhausted.
The rest of the day involved a road trip all through Port St Johns, going down every street to explore the town and imagine what it used to look like. We came across a sign that said "The Gap and the Blow Hole lookout" so we decide to go have a look. Turns out it was at the end of a road. No one would think of going down, or maybe they would get half way and think they are going the wrong way and turn back. No us - we kept on going and at the end was one of the best views I’ve ever seen. The bay below was just incredible. I walked right down the hill, through the thick grass where there was a faint track to give the hint someone else had once been here. When I reached the end you could look to the right to see the local beach and to the left to see the amazing bay, with the waves crashing onto it. I’ll leave it there for you to all think to come back to some of the best breath taking places you will see.
