+ Travel in a world of adventures
Read my full day to day blog of my first big overseas solo trip.
Day 59 (3rd Feb ) Woke up so tired I couldn't open my eyes, they were too heavy but I eventually got myself up and ready to go to breakfast which was a buffet and just amazing with cereal, toast, mini waffles and fruit yum ! Just yum ! I chilled and packed for the day ahead and put on my bikini.
The drive was about 30 min till we got to the temple on Koh Samui. It was a massive Buddha statue. All the girls were dressed for the beach so we were given a traditional Thai throw over dress to wear and cover up. 2nd stop was a view point overlooking the town on the island so beautiful. 3rd stop of the day was a waterfall which was just what we need a cold fresh swim. There is something about a waterfall and the atmosphere that is just magical, at this stage I wish I had a Go-pro. So far on this trip I have realised that a Go-pro is definitely a good investment. 4th stop was lunch back in town. I ended up getting my favourite drink here which is a fruit shake which contains the fruit of your choice, mine normally is mango or watermelon, ice and water and that’s it ! It’s the best thing ever when its 36 degrees outside.
I walked back to the room and fell asleep for a few hours before headed out to walk along the beach and go for an afternoon swim in the sea and the roof top pool when I got back to the hotel. It was a street food dinner again with me ordering crumbed chicken on fried rice which was so good but difficult to cut with a spoon you are given to get it with. The group wanted to go out for a couple of drinks except my body was telling me it was time for bed. We walked along the beach front which was all light up and had fire dancers doing shows on the beach. The bar we stopped at was super flash had good music but was a little too over-priced. So we walked to the same bar we were at last night as they wanted to get the two for one deal again, I however was ready to call it a night. About an hour later half the group was ready to go so we walked back and I crashed straight away not even having time to set my alarm for the morning.
