From spices to hand woven rugs moroccan markets have it all! In nearly all the towns and cities around the country you will find at least one of multiple markets to fill your pointers dreams.
Most are separated into different areas and will guide you from one part of the city to another. With tight passages and little room for sunlight the few markets are known for a place to cool down for the heat of the day.
The markets here in Morocco are very much still a local thing and part of their every day lives it is where they come for absolutely anything and everything they need or could want. Personally I LOVED seeing the workman going about their day making their unique craft with there hands to eventually sell in on the stands in font of them. From seeing the locals paint the hand made clay pots to weave through silk scarves and finish of a grass basket was truly fascinating.
So much colour !! It truly was my happy place with colour everywhere friendly shipowners wanting you too take photos and gorgeous alleyways. Be sure to set aside a full day to just get lost in amongst the streets of a market most likely hidden beneath the clay washed walls .
