Just outside of Adelaide, a city in the south of Australia is the very dry outback. In summer it usually suffers from drought. Although very dry in some areas it still can be very beautiful with its award winning wineries that spread for miles throughout the hills.
Some of my favourite things to do is go out to the outback on the weekend to get away from he hustle and noise of the city. Being in Nature immediately calms me and finding farm animals on the side of the road that are tame enough for me to feed grass to is just the best! Meet my new friends Fready and little baby billy two gorgeous golden horses that nearly have matching hair colour to me.
Just a casually stroll around the lushes green fruit trees that were surprisingly pretty full with fruit for just being little new comers.
Some great places to check out along your road trip is: Port Norgungla a seaside beach town known for its laid back vibes in summer and busy beach bay perfect for swimming and snorkelling along the man made reef , willanga has a lovely Saturday morning market in the summer time, goolwa another cute country town that has some pretty cute cafes and a very small town vibe.
Victor Harbour is a little bit further down the coast but has granite island just opposite the bay which makes for a good hike and day trip outing. So get your walking shoes and sunscreen on and be ready for the heat to close in on you. The view are stunning for almost 360 degrees of the island. It has a few wildlife creatures to look out for and a few big rocks and step hills but the lush blissful blue waters around just waiting for you to finish and jump in to cool off.
Touring around South Australia has the best of both worlds with outback adventures and beautiful coast lines.
I would highly reccomend hiring a car or better yet a van/ camper van to stop along the way and make a long weekend out of it.
